The organization is currently operating in five (5) regions in Ghana
Greater Accra Region ( Samsam-Oduamse in the Ga West Municipality as the head Office),
Eastern Region, Volta Region, Central Region (Cape Coast) , Ashanti Region (Kumasi)
Our Projects
Community And Family Aid Foundations play a crucial role in improving lives by addressing various social and economic challenges faced by families and communities. The organization work to strengthen families, promote child development, and foster self-sufficiency through a range of projects and initiatives.

Promoting Child Well-Being And Development
- Early Childhood Education Programs:Foundations support initiatives that ensure children have access to quality early education and the resources necessary to succeed in life.
- Child Care Assistance:Programs help families access affordable and reliable childcare services, critical for working parents and children's development.
- Youth Support and Development Programs:Providing activities and support for young people to develop skills, build confidence, and ensure their safety.
- Home Visiting Programs:Evidence-based programs where nurses or other professionals visit families in their homes to provide education, support, and resources, particularly for new parents. These programs can lead to positive outcomes like improved birth outcomes, increased maternal education, and reductions in child maltreatment.
Strengthening Family Units
- Parenting Classes and Workshops:Helping parents develop the skills and confidence needed to raise healthy and well-adjusted children.
- Mental Health Services and Counseling:Providing access to mental health support for individuals and families struggling with various challenges.
- Support Groups:Creating a nurturing environment for individuals and families dealing with specific challenges like substance abuse, domestic violence, or caregiving, where they can share experiences and receive encouragement.
- Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Support:Foundations ensure that victims have access to the support needed to foster health and well-being.
Addressing economic and social needs
- Financial Assistance and Counseling:Helping families manage finances, access public benefits like SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and connect with resources for employment and stability. example, has been shown to reduce family and child poverty and decrease the risk of child maltreatment.
- Housing Assistance Programs:Providing support to families to secure and maintain stable housing.
- Food Security, Sustainable Farming Initiatives:Working to ensure families have access to nutritious food through food banks, food distribution programs, and partnerships with organizations like Food Forward.
- Job Training and Education Programs:Empowering adults and young people with skills for employment, entrepreneurship, and career advancement, according to the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Fostering Healthy Communities
- Community Health Programs:Addressing preventative care, education, and equitable access to healthcare for individuals and families within a specific geographic area.
- Hosing outreaches and Community Events:Bringing families and community members together to promote social connections and a sense of community.
- Community Infrastructure Projects:Supporting the development of community infrastructure that benefits families, such as libraries, parks, and playgrounds.
- Disaster Relief:Providing aid and support to communities recovering from natural disasters.

Our Achievements
The Community and Family Aid Foundation (CAFAF) have achieved significant milestones in its mission to improve the well-being of vulnerable individuals and communities, particularly focusing on youth, Women, Girls, the aged, health, social development, and poverty alleviation in Ghana and beyond.
Our works and activities are in line with the several of the united nations sustainable development goals (UN SDGS -17 Goals)and the 169 indicators, which also aligns with both Ghana development agendas and other global pursuits .we also ,design, and deliver our program based on extensive consultations with stakeholders inputs one community at a time.

- Youth empowerment:
We celebrate World Youth Skills Day each year, emphasizing the importance of equipping youth with the skills they need for employment and entrepreneurship. We highlighted the role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in achieving this.
- Foster Community Development:
CAFAF works to improve the well-being of vulnerable people in communities, aiming to overcome poverty and create a positive impact.
- Advocacy
We actively participate in international days like World Population Day, and other UN popular day observance days, using the opportunity to advocate for issues related to family planning and youth empowerment.
- Transparency:
CAFAF publishes annual reports to; write features, articles, press releases, policy recommendations, training manuals, showcase our work and impact, including financial reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
The Community and Family Aid Foundation (CAFAF) focuses on community and family support through various programs and initiatives. Our achievements are rooted in their mission to provide aid and resources to those in need. Some notable achievements and areas of impact include:
- Educational Awareness:CAFAF conducts educational awareness programs on communicable and non-communicable diseases, rare disease, Hepatitis B, HPV, health topics, counseling, ecumenical HIV/AIDS, and peer education, aiming to empower individuals with knowledge and resources.
- Empowering Youth and Women: We offer well-tailored and crafted support programs for young people and women, including women's empowerment initiatives, aiming to create positive change and provide opportunities.
- Community Development and Partnerships:CAFAF engages in partnerships for development, advocating for the needs of communities and facilitating referrals to essential services.
- ICT , And AI, And Technological Advancement Training:CAFAF aims to provide training and guidance in modern technology, offering free ICT training to empower individuals with valuable skills.
- Annual Reports and Impact Stories:Annual Reports and Impact Stories: CAFAF documents our achievements and impact through annual reports and impact stories, highlighting our efforts and the difference they make in the lives of individuals and communities.
- Youth Empowerment:CAFAF has been actively involved in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), providing young people with skills for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship.
- Public Health Initiatives:CAFAF has focused on improving adolescent sexual health, aiming to reduce teenage pregnancies and the spread of HIV/AIDS and other health issues

Food Security: Investing in initiatives that address food insecurity within communities they serve
Early Childhood Education & Family Mental Health: Supports programs and organizations working to improve early childhood education and mental health services, particularly for underserved communities.
Affordable and Workforce Housing Initiatives: Focuses on creating and preserving affordable housing options, including workforce housing, which enables individuals to live and work in the same community Increase research for the public good, emphasizing ecological, health, social, and economic goals.
Ensure more inclusive, participatory approaches to governance to address structural inequities in food systems.
Mobilize public sector investment toward ecologically-beneficial farming, healthy food, and resilient communities.
Unlock and align investment in sustainable food systems from private, philanthropic, multilateral funders and ensure connections with national & local food systems actors.
Elevate the need to account for the environmental, social, and health impacts of food systems policies and practices to inform better decision-making. Support the creation of enabling environments where agroecology and regenerative solutions flourish. Promote nutritious, sustainable, whole-food diets adapted to local ecosystems and sociocultural contexts.
